Deputy Director, Business Enterprise and Innovation
The Deputy Director, Business Enterprise and Innovation is a key role, forming an integral part of the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium (BGSH) senior management team. The role is responsible for devising and driving business development, innovation and the commercialisation strategy resulting in the growth of revenue and financial security for State Flora and the BGSH, while ensuring that the business and commercial operations are appropriate for a publically funded cultural and scientific institution. The role is responsible for the implementation of State Floras Business Plan and the business elements of the BGSH strategic plan, including maximising income generation and the economic sustainability of the branch.
This is a temporary / term vacancy up to 5 years. A certificate of Child Related Employment Screening is essential. Some out of hours work may be required. Some intra/interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required. A current driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential. May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.

Tertiary qualification and expertise in business enterprise and innovation and/or commercialisation.
