Manager Sustainable Development Kangaroo Island
The Manager, Sustainable Development is responsible for supporting and facilitating economic and sustainable development on Kangaroo Island.
This role will represent DEWNRs interests in respect of public and private major development projects working in partnership with the Kangaroo Island Natural Resources Management Board to develop strategies and solutions that ensure the sustainability of Kangaroo Islands future.
This role will provide expert analysis, advice and logistical support to the agency across a range of areas, including heritage, nature based tourism, land use, planning, infrastructure and future development activities that may result in new and expanded economic opportunities. This position will play a pivotal role in providing leadership support to the Regional Director as a member of the Regional Management Team. The role may be required to manage project staff and coordinate the input of subject matter expertise from across DEWNR and external stakeholders
This is a temporary / term vacancy up to 36 months. This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework.
